BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's basketball team went into the winter break on a high note, defeating Lehman, 84-73, Sunday at Campbell Sports Center. The Gryphons improve to 6-5 overall, knocking off the Lightening for the first time in school history.

TOP GRYPHONS PERFORMERS
Four players finished in double-figures for Sarah Lawrence. Enike Anyia finished with a game-high 18 points, while contributing three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Omar Jamaleddine reached double-figures for a fourth consecutive contest, posting 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal. Andrew Varoli scored 15 points, connecting on 5-of-6 attempts from beyond the arc, while Justin Bailey had the best offensive outing of his young Gryphon career, finishing with 10 points.
BJ Sanders recorded eight points, seven rebounds and one steal, while Austin Jones added seven points, four rebounds, three assists and one swipe.
Jelani Jackson scored six points, while Liam Barry handed out a team-high four assists.

Sarah Lawrence picked up victory No. 6, defeating a Lehman team that reached the CUNYAC Championship game a season ago with a 22-5 record.
Lehman, who entered the day with back-to-back wins over Medgar Evers and York, jumped out to a 14-10 lead with 13:10 remaining in the half.
Sarah Lawrence, coming off a victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Thursday, got hot offensively, outscoring the Lightening 29-7 over 8:37 to open up a 39-21 cushion. The surge was fueled by the Gryphons' first years, who scored 17 of the 29 points, highlighted by a trio of 3-pointers from Varoli and another pair from Jackson. Barry handed out three assists during the run.
Lehman chipped away at the deficit to end the period, using a 16-4 run to trail 43-37 at the break.
Sarah Lawrence extended its lead back to double-digits to begin the second half, using a 16-9 spurt to hold a 59-43 advantage with 13:57 left to play.
The Lightening did not go away, shrinking the margin to one (65-64) with 6:10 remaining in regulation. Sarah Lawrence pulled away for good, using a 20-3 run over 4:59 to take a commanding 84-67 lead, securing the non-league victory.
