PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sarah Lawrence College junior
Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) broke his own school record in the 50 yard freestyle Friday on the opening day of the 2018 Metropolitan Championships at Rutgers Aquatic Center.

LEE BREAKS FREESTYLE RECORD
Lee's record-breaking performance came during Friday's evening session, while participating in the 200 freestyle relay. The junior completed his portion of the event in 21.85, shaving 0.07 seconds off his best of 21.92 set earlier Friday morning in the 50 freestyle.
Lee was joined by
Jacob Ringo (Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield), Sebastian Kleepe and
Jack Langland (Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa), as the squad turned in their fastest time of the season. The team touched the wall in 1:36.56, shaving nearly one second off their preliminary time.
GRYPHON RELAY
After posting their top performance of the year in the 200 freestyle relay, the group returned to the pool for the finals of the 400 freestyle relay. The group finished in 4:04.60, lowering their preliminary time by nearly two seconds.
