The Gryphons got on the board first in the second inning, capitalizing on an error by the Wildcats to take a 1-0 advantage.

Bay Path countered with a pair of runs in the third inning to take the lead, fueled by RBIs from Lauren Valle and Cameille Kei.

Sarah Lawrence took the lead for good in the fifth inning, powered by a two-run single to left field from Kamaron McNair (Lawrence Township, N.J./The Hun School), scoring Riley Vuyovich (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) and Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J./Sparta).

Karissa McAuley (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie) tossed a complete game, yielding six hits while posting two perfect frames.

It was the Gryphons second victory of the week over a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) after knocking off defending league champion Lesley on Wednesday.

After recording just one run in Wednesday's loss to the Falcons, Sarah Lawrence turned in its best offensive inning of the season against the non-conference foe, plating seven runs in the opening frame. The Gryphons posted seven hits in the inning, while taking advantage of a pair of fielding errors. The stanza was highlighted by RBIs from McNair, Penna, Vuyovich, Sarah Shapiro (Germantown, Md./Northwest), Tricia McLain (Redding, Calif./Enterprise) and Tess Carrier (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif./Palos Verdes).

Albertus Magnus, winners of 30 games in 2017, scored two runs in the fourth to cut into the deficit, but the Gryphons answered with a two-out RBI single from Mackenzie Mindish (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional). The Falcons scored once more in the sixth inning, but Sarah Lawrence yet again responded, thanks to another two-out RBI single from Mindish, scoring Adrienne Samuels (Minneapolis, Minn./Columbia Heights).

Albertus Magnus, coming off an appearance in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament, kept it interesting until the end, scoring three runs in the seventh to cut the deficit to three, but Sarah Lawrence prevented the comeback, getting the three outs it needed to preserve the victory and the squad's first-ever win over the program.

Mikayla Cunningham (Mayville, Mich./Millington) stifled the Falcons' offense in her victory on the mound, allowing just two runs on seven hits in 3.2 innings pitched. Delaney Parker (Milford, N.H./Milford) (2.1) and McAuley (1.0) pitched the final 3.2 innings.

Sarah Lawrence returns to New York with a 4-4 record, collecting its most wins during the annual Spring Break event.
