PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis team opened its season Tuesday, suffering a 7-2 loss to John Jay at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis.

In his collegiate debut, first-year Divij Kapoor (Ludhiana, India/The Don School) was victorious in No. 2 singles, defeating Michael Barkagan by an 8-0 margin.

Senior Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) opened his final season with a win, defeating Kevin LaTorre in No. 3 singles, 8-2.
