Men’s Tennis Closes Out Season With 8-1 Win Over York on Senior Day

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis team concluded its season Monday with an 8-1 win over York College at SLC Tennis Courts.

Sarah Lawrence, coming off an 8-1 win at Albertus Magnus on Sunday, won all three of its doubles matches. Divij Kapoor (Ludhiana, India/The Doon School) and Garrett Hsuan (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard H.S. Early College) won No. 1 doubles, 6-1, while Francesco Lagioia (Rome, Italy/Lincoln American School of Buenos Aires) and Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) won No. 2 doubles, 6-1. William Kellogg (San Diego, Calif./High Tech International) and Ben Dougherty (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) capped off doubles action, blanketing their opponents, 6-0.

The Gryphons won five of six singles matches, as Lagioia (6-1), Hsuan (7-5), Kapoor (6-1), Garibaldi (6-1) and Dougherty (6-1) each ended their season with a singles victory.
