OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College softball team dropped a Skyline doubleheader Saturday at Old Westbury at Jackie Robinson Complex. The Gryphons dropped the first game, 9-1, and lost the nightcap by a 4-0 margin.
TOP GRYPHON PERFORMERS
Riley Vuyovich (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) batted .600 for the day (3-for-5) with one double and one run scored while 
Kamaron McNair (Lawrence Township, N.J./The Hun School) batted .400 (2-for-5). 
Baylie Petit (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) recorded the team's lone RBI of the afternoon.
Game 1: Sarah Lawrence 1, Old Westbury 9
The Gryphons scored their lone run of the contest in the opening frame, when Petit scored Vuyovich on a groundout.
Old Westbury scored one run in each of the first three innings of play, and exploded for six more in the fifth frame to pick up the win.
Game 2: Sarah Lawrence 0, Old Westbury 4
Neither team was able to generate offense through the first four innings of play, as 
Delaney Parker (Milford, N.H./Milford) limited the Panthers to four hits through four frames.
Old Westbury scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning en route to the series sweep.
Despite being credited with the loss, Parker had a strong outing in the circle, scattering seven hits through in 6.0 innings pitched. All four runs scored by the Panthers were unearned.

The Gryphons have some work to do on Sunday, needing a win at Farmingdale State to secure a spot in the Skyline Tournament for the first time in team history.
