PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence College senior Kamaron McNair (Lawrence Township, N.J./The Hun School) became the second Gryphon in the NCAA-era to reach 100 hits Saturday in the team's Skyline doubleheader at St. Joseph's College Long Island. The Golden Eagles took both games from the Gryphons, winning the first contest, 3-2, while taking the nightcap, 5-0.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMERS
First-years Skyler Vallarta (Brea, Calif./Sonora) and Tess Carrier (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif./Palos Verdes) combined to hit .500 (6-12), while Riley Vuyovich (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) went 4-for-7 with the team's lone extra-base hit.

Tricia McLain (Redding, Calif./Enterprise) and Baylie Petit (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) recorded the squad's only RBIs of the afternoon, while Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) and Kelsey Copley (West Jefferson, Ohio/West Jefferson) scored the Gryphons' only runs.

Game 1: Sarah Lawrence 2, St. Joseph's L.I., 3
The Golden Eagles, coming off a sweep against Old Westbury, scored the game's first run in the opening frame.

Sarah Lawrence knotted the contest in the fourth inning, thanks to a RBI groundout from Petit.

St. Joseph's Long Island plated two more in the sixth, fueled by a two-run double from Zoe Kelly.

McNair's 100th hit came in the final inning, a hard-hit single up the middle. The Gryphons tacked on one more run in the frame with a RBI single from McLain, but were unable to complete the comeback, taking the opening game.

Despite being credited with the loss, Mikayla Cunningham (Mayville, Mich./Millington), coming off a terrific performance against John Jay, was solid in 6.0 innings of work. The tri-captain was charged with just two earned runs.

Game 2: Sarah Lawrence 0, St. Joseph's L.I., 5
St. Joseph's L.I. scored a run in the first inning, while adding two more in the third and one each in the fourth and fifth innings.

Karissa McAuley (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie) was roughed up in her time in the circle, but first-year Delaney Parker (Milford, N.H./Milford) was solid in her 1.0 inning of relief, striking out two of three batters.
