OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team rallied back from a 1-0 deficit with three second half goals to defeat Old Westbury, 3-1, on Monday at Panthers Park. Kiley Ritter, Tiffany McBrayer and Maddie Eppler each scored for the Gryphons, leading the squad to their first victory in Skyline play this season.

IN SHORT

RECAP
Trailing 1-0 for most of the afternoon, the Gryphons did not quit and battled to the end, scoring all three of their goals in the final 17 minutes of play.

Old Westbury got off to a fast start, taking a 1-0 lead 2:38 into the match. Brianna Williams played a ball
from Shauna Henderson, finishing for her team-leading sixth goal of the season.

The Gryphons defense settled in after the goal, stifling the Panthers' offense for the remainder of the afternoon. Andi Pfau made her first start of the season in goal, finishing with three saves, including a critical stop in the 47th minute to keep Sarah Lawrence within one score.

Sarah Lawrence controlled possession for much of the afternoon, taking a season-high 30 shot attempts, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Gryphons broke through in the 74th minute, cashing in on their 19th shot attempt of the day when Kiley Ritter got behind the Panther's defense for her team-best seventh goal of the season.

Tiffany McBrayer scored the go-ahead goal in the 83rd minute, finishing a great feed from Ritter. Maddie Eppler provided insurance for the Gryphons in the 89th minute, scoring her first goal of the year after gathering a loose ball in the box.

After dropping its first three meetings against Old Westbury since joining the Skyline Conference, Sarah Lawrence has won its last two contests against the Panthers.
