THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Maritime Friday in a Skyline meeting at Reinhart Field.

Sarah Lawrence put forth a strong defensive effort to open the match. Maritime, who entered the day with the most goals in the Skyline this season, was held scoreless for much of the first half. The Privateers' initial three shot attempts on frame were turned away by rookie goalkeeper

Maritime, picked fourth in the Skyline Preseason Poll, broke through 2:15 before halftime, when Anthony Sblendoria found the back of the net, driving a ball through traffic in the box off a pass from Parker Gallt.
The Privateers scored twice more in the second period. Nicholas Ciacca made it a 2-0 contest in the 58th minute after blasting a shot from outside the box, while Sblendoria recorded his second goal of the night in the 68th minute off a cross from Anthony Palazzolo.
The Gryphons put two attempts on frame in the match.
Colin Berg put a shot on target in the 16th minute, but was stopped by keeper Michael Rodriguez, while
Tristan Moehs had a good look at a goal in the 79th minute, but his shot was turned away.
