Women’s Swimming Defeats Staten Island, 86-74

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – In the final meet before the Skyline Championships, the Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team defeated Staten Island, 86-74, at Campbell Sports Center.

Audrey de Szendeffy was victorious in the 200 free, touching the wall in 2:14.49. The rookie also won the 500 free with a time of 5:57.48.

Drew Lei-Alerta won the 50 free, finishing in 26.52, nearly six seconds faster than the second-place finisher. The first-year also won the 100 fly with a mark of 1:02.34.

Devon Peal was the top performer in the 200 IM, turning in a time of 2:29.04, 12 seconds faster than the second-place participant. The senior also won the 100 back in 1:06.50.

Caitie Adler was the top swimmer in the 100 free, finishing in 1:04.82, while Andrea Corbin turned in a first-place effort in the 100 breast with a time of 1:20.32.

In the 400 free relay, a team of Peal, Szendeffy, Corbin and Lei-Alerta were victorious with a time of 4:06.67.
