BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The red-hot Sarah Lawrence men's basketball team was rewarded on Monday by the Skyline Conference following a 2-0 week with victories over Mount Saint Vincent and Purchase.
Enike Anyia was named Skyline Men's Basketball Player of the Week for a second time this season, while
Omar Jamaleddine earned his second Skyline Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week citation.
The teammates have led Sarah Lawrence to an 11-7 record this season, the most wins in team history, with a 9-4 mark against Skyline opponents. Picked to finish ninth in the Preseason Poll, the Gryphons are currently in third-place in the conference standings.
This is the third consecutive week that Anyia has received weekly recognition. Two weeks ago, he became the first Gryphon in team history to earn Skyline Player of the Week honors, and last week was selected to the Honor Roll. The forward has also received accolades from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.

In the squad's 77-65 win against the Dolphins, the sophomore notched his eighth double-double of the year, scoring a game-high 24 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Anyia followed that up with a game-best 27 points in the team's 79-77 victory over the Panthers.
