NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence sophomore
Humza Obaid scored his second goal of the season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough, as the Gryphons men's soccer team suffered a 6-1 loss to preseason favorite Mount Saint Mary at Kaplan Field.

Mount Saint Mary, unbeaten in Skyline play entering the match, scored a pair of goals in the first half of play. Connor Doyle gave the Knights a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute, followed by a goal from Joey Dolan in the 19th minute.
Mount Saint Mary tacked on four more goals in the second half. The Knight scored three goals in a span of 9:27 to make it a 5-0 contest. The Knights scored once more in the 75th minute.
Obaid's goal came at the 63:01 mark, finding the back of the net off a feed from
Owen Smith.
Mount Saint Mary outshot Sarah Lawrence 26-13, including a 13-7 margin in attempts on target.
Aaron Ashery and
Matteo Romano each played a half in goal, combining to make seven saves.
