Nguyen was outstanding in the circle for the Gryphons, tossing a two-hit shutout in an 8-0 victory over Old Westbury. The rookie tossed all 6.0 innings of play, striking out a program-record 16 batters, surpassing her previous best of 13 posted in a win over Lehman. Nguyen has tossed three shutouts and has four games of 10 or more strikeouts.

Most importantly, Nguyen has helped the Gryphons set school records for wins (17) and conference (7) victories, while securing a berth a postseason for the first time in program history.

Sarah Lawrence is the No. 6 seed in the upcoming playoffs, and opens up with No. 3 Mount Saint Mary, the defending conference champions, on Wednesday (May 1) at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Saint Mary Softball Complex. The Gryphons split with the Knights during the regular season.
