Kim Named #SkylineSB Rookie of the Week, McAuley Named to Honor Roll

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - After fueling the Gryphons to a perfect 6-0 week, Sarah Lawrence first-year Zoe Kim was tabbed Skyline Softball Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. Kim is the fourth Gryphon in program history to earn the citation.

Kim played in all six games for Sarah Lawrence, and finished 12-for-20 (.600) with 12 runs scored and seven runs batted in. The rookie outfielder had three extra base hits, including a second inside-the-park home run, four walks and two stolen bases

Kim had a four-hit contest with four runs scored in the second game of a twinbill against Baruch. Sarah Lawrence finished with 21 runs in the game, third-most in a single game in team history. The squad's 28 hits were a program best.

In the Gryphons nightcap against Yeshiva, she went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, three runs and three walks.

Kim has played in 20 games this season, batting .351 with 13 RBIs and 20 runs scored. The rookie currently has a seven-game hitting streak.

Karissa McAuley was named to the Honor Roll after a strong week in the circle. The junior went 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 20 strikeouts. McAuley has a team-best six wins this season.

Most importantly, Kim and McAuley powered the Gryphons to sweeps over Lehman, Baruch and Yeshiva to ascend above .500 with a record of 12-11. Sarah Lawrence has now posted double-digit wins in back-to-back campaigns.

Sarah Lawrence is back on the field Saturday (Apr. 13) for a Skyline doubleheader against St. Joseph's Brooklyn at St. John's University. Game one is scheduled for noon.
