BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – After completing its best season in program history, the Sarah Lawrence softball team received well-deserved recognition from the Skyline Conference Monday, as first-years Tiffany McBrayer and Bailey Nguyen landed a spot on the Skyline All-Conference Second Team.

Sarah Lawrence just wrapped up its winningest campaign in team history, setting records for wins (17) and conference wins (7). Picked to finish seventh in the Preseason Poll, the Gryphons exceeded expectations, finishing as the No. 6 seed and earning a postseason berth for the first time in school history.

McBrayer becomes the first Gryphon at Sarah Lawrence to earn Skyline All-Conference citations in two different sports. The rookie is also a Skyline All-Conference performer in women's soccer.

The first outfielder in team history to earn all-conference honors, McBrayer appeared in 30 games, making 29 starts. The rookie finished second on the team in batting average (.394), hits (39) and total bases (46), while leading the squad in runs (26) and stolen bases (7). McBrayer produced 11 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI performances while finishing the season on an eight-game hitting streak.

Nguyen, recently named Skyline Pitcher of the Week, becomes the first pitcher in program history to earn all-conference laurels. The first-year went 6-5 overall with a 4.02 ERA, tossing three shutout performances while striking out 83 batters, both new program standards. Nguyen posted four games of 10 or more strikeouts, including a school record 16 in a victory over Old Westbury.

In addition to her strong performance in the circle, Nguyen batted .317 with 19 hits, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
