YONKERS, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss Wednesday to John Jay College at Fleming Field.

John Jay, the CUNYAC Preseason favorite, scored three goals in the first half of play. The Bloodhounds scored in the 10th minute off a finish from Katie Healy, and took a 2-0 lead in the 17th minute following a free kick from Anneliese Tucci that went to the far post. Jillian Golden made it a 3-0 contest in the 30th minute, flicking in a feed from Kimberly Robledo.
The Bloodhounds, who entered the day with victories over Skyline schools St. Joseph's Brooklyn and Manhattanville, scored three more times in the second half. Alexandra Dadario scored in the 49th minute, while Robledo found the back of the net in the 63rd minute and Medina Mulic in the 79th minute.
John Jay controlled possession much of the evening, outshooting Sarah Lawrence 22-8, including a 15-6 margin in attempts on frame.
