PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team dropped a Skyline meeting at Manhattanville Tuesday in straight sets at Kennedy Gymnasium.

Competing for the first time as conference opponents, Manhattanville, picked third in the Skyline Preseason Poll with two first-place votes, won the opening set by a 25-7 margin.
It was a more even second set, as the two teams exchanged points for a 17-17 score. The Valiants pulled away, finishing the frame on an 8-3 run to take a 2-0 series lead. Manhattanville completed the sweep with a 25-13 decision in the final set.
Melanie Coleman finished with six kills and two blocks, while
Isabel Pecora added nine assists and a pair of blocks.
Davis Mathis posted a season-high four aces, while
Clarise Steiner contributed a team-best 11 digs.
Gabrielle Hegedus recorded a season-high nine digs in the loss.
