PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team dropped a Skyline meeting at Manhattanville Tuesday in straight sets at Kennedy Gymnasium.

RECAP
Competing for the first time as conference opponents, Manhattanville, picked third in the Skyline Preseason Poll with two first-place votes, won the opening set by a 25-7 margin.

It was a more even second set, as the two teams exchanged points for a 17-17 score. The Valiants pulled away, finishing the frame on an 8-3 run to take a 2-0 series lead. Manhattanville completed the sweep with a 25-13 decision in the final set.

Melanie Coleman finished with six kills and two blocks, while Isabel Pecora added nine assists and a pair of blocks. Davis Mathis posted a season-high four aces, while Clarise Steiner contributed a team-best 11 digs. Gabrielle Hegedus recorded a season-high nine digs in the loss.
