YONKERS, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer team made its 2019 Fleming Field debut Saturday, suffering a 5-0 loss to Hunter College.

RECAP
Hunter scored four goals in the opening frame, including three scores from Blaise Enama, a 2018 CUNYAC First Team All-Star. Enama scored the game's first goal in the 14th minute, and found the back of the net again three minutes later.

The Hawks took a 3-0 lead in the 20th minute on a goal from Sammy Ahmed, and extended their advantage with a third goal from Enama in the 23rd minute. Hunter tacked on one more score in the second half on a penalty kick.

The Gryphons' had two great looks at goals, one in each half. Josiah Corson nearly scored his first goal of the season in the 24th minute, but had his shot saved off the line by the goalkeeper, while Humza Obaid had a strike bounce off the post in the 78th minute.

"Not the result we wanted for our first home game of the season," said head coach Evan Brandsdorfer. "However, I thought the final score wasn't indicative of the performance. We use this as motivation going forward and just like with our last win, our mindset immediately switches to our home game on Wednesday against York."
