BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – St. Joseph's Long Island used a late run in the final minutes to defeat Sarah Lawrence, 63-55, in a Skyline women's basketball contest Thursday at Campbell Sports Center.

Jordyn Medina recorded her first collegiate double-double, finishing with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while
Ana Srdanovic contributed 12 points.

SLC got off to a strong start, scoring the last five points of the opening quarter to hold a 19-15 advantage after one period of play.
The Gryphons knocked down a 3-pointer in the opening minute of the second quarter, but a 7-0 run from the Golden Eagles knotted the contest, 22-22, with 7:07 remaining in the half. St. Joseph's finished the stanza on a 14-6 run to take a 36-28 lead into halftime.
St. Joseph's led by as much as 11 (49-38) in the third quarter, but the Gryphons shrunk the margin to single digits with six unanswered points to end the period, trailing by five (49-44) entering the final quarter.
SLC began the final frame on a 7-1 run to take a 51-50 edge with 7:49 to play. The Golden Eagles got back in front by getting to the free throw line, scoring 11 of their final 13 points from the charity stripe as part of a 13-4 run to secure the road win.
St. Joseph's Long Island was led by Julianna Knice, who scored a game-high 24 points. The guard also grabbed 11 rebounds.
