Davis Registers Double-Double at First-Place Mount Saint Mary

NEWBURGH, N.Y. | Sophomore guard Camryn Davis shot 8-for-17 from the field en route to a team-best 20 points and game-high 10 rebounds Tuesday night at the Kaplan Center, as the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team fell in Skyline Conference action at first-place Mount Saint Mary College, 80-42.

First-year guard Demitra Loukopoulos added 16 points for the visiting Gryphons, and tied for the team lead with Ana Srdanovic by swiping two steals apiece. First-year guard Jordyn Medina pulled in eight caroms on the glass for SLC.

Sarah Lawrence got five-consecutive points from Davis followed by a jumper in the paint from Loukopoulos to take a 7-5 lead 3-plus minutes into the first quarter. Mount Saint Mary then went in front, before a Srdanovic jumper and pair of shots at the charity stripe late by Davis brought SLC to within a 13-11 count at the first break.

The Gryphons continued their run by scoring the first six points of the second period to go in front 17-13 two minutes in, before the hosts ultimately took the lead for good and carried a 30-19 advantage into halftime.

Head coach Bradley Alexander's Sarah Lawrence side wraps up the 2019-20 campaign at Campbell Sports Center Saturday afternoon (Feb. 22), when it plays host to local Skyline Conference foe Manhattanville College for a 12 noon tip-off.
