Swim Begins Season with Victory Over Queensborough CC

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College swimming team opened its season with two victories against Queensborough Community College on Friday night. 

The men's team was victorious 71-14. The women's team won 85-6.

The 200 medley relay team of Drew Lei-Alerta, Claire Iannuzzi, Genevieve Chiappetta, and Eva Guarda Vazquez completed the race in 2:04.36. The men's team Chaz Stafford, Mani Roshandel, Miles Washington, and Henry Bethell posted a time of 1:50.82. 

Eva Guarda Vazquez won the 50 Free, recording a time of 28.54. Miles Washington was the men's 50 Free winner with a time of 23.21. 

Chaz Stafford was victorious in the 200 Free, tallying a time of 1:55.24. 

Drew Lei-Alerta grabbed a victory in the 100 Free. The senior finished the race with a time of 58.57. On the men's side, Mani Roshandel was first in the 100 Free, notching a time of 52.51. 

Roshandel then went on to win the 100 Breast, ending the race with a time of 1:02.11.
