Lynn Rech scored a team-leading 10th goal of the season for the Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer as the Gryphons battled St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Wednesday night. The Gryphons fell to the Bears 2-1.
With the goal, Rech is now tied for sixth in the conference in goals scored.
The Bears built a one-goal edge right after the 18-minute mark. The Gryphons had three scoring opportunities stopped by the SJBK keeper before the break and went into halftime facing a one-goal deficit.
The insurance goal was added in the 60th minute. Rech's goal came just after the 80-minute mark. SLC mustered one shot after cutting into the lead.
