YONKERS, N.Y. -
Lynn Rech scored twice, lifting the Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Maritime on Tuesday night.
The Gryphons fired off eight shots in the first half. The Privateers' keeper recorded five saves. The teams went into the break tied at zero.
Rech opened the scoring right after the 62-minute mark, receiving a pass from
Samantha Lungren and burying the shot past the opposing goalie. Six minutes later, Rech added the insurance goal. This time the assist was from
Cora Colvin.
Colvin netted the game's final goal, capitalizing on a rebound from about five yards outside of the Maritime penalty area. The first-year placed the shot in the upper right corner of the goal.
