FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball team wrapped up its 2021 season, facing off against Farmingdale State College in the first round of the Skyline Conference Tournament on Tuesday night. The Gryphons fell to the Rams 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgi Massey and Kawecki-Muonio recorded one kill a piece, providing two of the first four points for SLC. The teams were deadlocked at four. FSC went up 8-5, then two straight points from the Gryphons cut the deficit to one. That was the smallest margin between the teams for the remainder of the set. The Rams ended the set on a 17-8 run, taking it 25-15.
SLC held a 9-7 edge near the midway point of the second set. FSC strung together 10 unanswered points, taking a 7-9 lead. The Gryphons eventually brought the score to within three, making it 23-20 in favor of the Rams, but FSC finished the set with two straight points, winning it 25-20.
The Gryphons were down 12-8 in the third set before putting together an 8-4 run and evening the set at 16. The teams exchanged 2-0 runs, resulting in a 18-18 tie. FSC went up 19-18, then lost the lead again on an attack error. Deadlocked at 19, Farmingdale concluded the match on a 6-1 run, earning a 25-20 victory.
