BRONXVILLE, N.Y. –
Kendall Haymore made her collegiate debut for the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team on Saturday night, dropping a team-high 13 points against Connecticut College. The Gryphons fell to the Camels 69-34.
The Numbers
- Haymore did all of her damage in just 23 minutes. She went five-for-seven from the field and grabbed five rebounds.
- Demitra Loukopoulos tallied eight points, four rebounds, and two steals.
- Camryn Davis flirted with a double-double, going for seven points and eight boards. She also led the team in assists with three.
- The SLC defense caused 21 turnovers.
How it Happened
The Camels and Gryphons traded baskets early, resulting in an 8-6 score halfway through the first quarter. Haymore was responsible for 11 of the Gryphons' 13 first quarter points.
Connecticut College pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring Sarah Lawrence 17-2.
Jordyn Medina sank two free throws to close out the half.
The Camels strung together a 19-5 run, spanning the entirety of the third quarter, mitigating all hopes of an SLC comeback.
Sarah Lawrence netted 14 points in the final quarter. Loukopoulos knocked down the first three of the contest for SLC at the 3:05 mark.
