NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis team began its 2021 season on Saturday afternoon, going up against the Mount Saint Mary College Knights. The Gryphons battled, but fell to MSMC 5-4. 

In the first doubles match, Alexis Nanavaty and Carrie Sun captured an 8-4 victory. 

Sun then went on to defeat her opponent in a singles match 7-5, 6-3. 

Ava DuPont took care of business in her singles match, winning 6-4, 6-1.

Ellie O'Brian ended the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
