BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis team opened its season with a victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating the St. Joseph's College of Long Island Golden Eagles 6-3.
Sammy Marshall and
Isaac Rose grabbed the lone doubles win for the Gryphons, winning the match 8-3.
Francesco Lagioia kicked off his senior campaign with a singles victory, besting his opponent 8-6, 5-4.
David Gelb won his singles match 7-5, 6-1.
Sammy Marshall notched a 6-3, 6-0 victory in his singles match.
Isaac Rose went 6-2, 6-3, securing the final win of the day for Sarah Lawrence. Marshall and Rose tallied two match wins on the day.
