RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Cat Faville scored her first goal of the season for the Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team as the Gryphons took on the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in a Skyline showdown on Saturday afternoon. SLC fell to CMSV 2-1 in double overtime.

KEY NOTES

• Shots were nearly even with CMSV taking a slight 17-16 edge.
• Bridgette Lee recorded eight saves.
• Faville's goal came in the 33rd minute on a cross from Lainie Cadieux
• Seven Gryphons: Cora Colvin, Emily Anderson, Bridgette Lee, Samantha Lungren, Sophia Massucco, Lainie Cadieux, and Lynn Rech played the full 120 minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SLC mustered four shots before breaking through and opening the scoring. Cadieux's cross found Faville's foot and the shot was buried into the top corner. Shortly after, the Dolphin knotted the match at one. The teams headed into the break tied.

Strong defense and solid goalkeeping led to a scoreless second half. Lee made two saves.

The teams traded one shot a piece in the first overtime period. The Dolphins' game-winning goal came in the final minute of the second overtime period.
