Women's Soccer Battles Bard in Season-Opener


ANNADALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Bridgette Lee stopped six shots in the season-opener for the Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team as the Gryphons battled Bard College on Sunday afternoon. SLC dropped the match 1-0. 

Laine Cadieux recorded the first shot of the season for the Gryphons in the 23rd minute. The teams remained scoreless heading into the break. 

Samantha Lungren fired off a shot in the 47th minute that was saved by the Raptors' keeper, leaving the score 0-0. Bard found the back of the net shortly after. Izzy Deltoro and Samantha Garcia had late scoring opportunities squandered by the Bard goalie.
