WBB | Gryphons Overcome 19-Point Deficit to Defeat St. Joe's Brooklyn

Box Score BROOKLYN – The Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team overcame a 19-point halftime deficit to defeat the St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. The Gryphons beat the Bears 82-79.
 
  • Kumi Tamura dropped 28 points on 52.6 percent shooting. The first-year guard hit six shots from deep
  • Lexie Wingerter had 20 points, 12 of which came from beyond the arc.
  • Kendall Haymore recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Camryn Davis tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds, and a team-high seven assists.
  • The 19-point hole marked the largest comeback win in program history for the Gryphons
  • Sarah Lawrence outscored SJBK 31-8 in the third quarter – the most points in a quarter this season.
  • In that third quarter, the Gryphons shot 12-22 from the field and sank five of their seven three-pointers
  • SLC shot 10-20 from deep for a 50 percent clip.
  • St. Joe's Brooklyn held the lead for 29:14 seconds.
  • SLC only led for nine minutes.
  • Sarah Lawrence trailed by 22 at the 9:47 mark of the second quarter.
