PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College softball team began conference play with a doubleheader against Manhattanville on Sunday afternoon. The Gryphons dropped both games.
GAME 1
Manhattanville put up seven runs in the second inning and nine runs in the fourth inning on its way to an 18-0 win.
GAME 2
The Valiants built an eight-run advantage in the first inning.
Hannah Akin had two hits and made solid defensive plays throughout the afternoon. Manhattanville won 13-0.
