Gryphons Host Playoff-Bound Farmingdale; Silva Registers Nine Saves

YONKERS, N.Y. - Farmingdale State secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Sarah Lawrence College in an intense Skyline matchup. The game featured solid defensive performances from both sides, but Farmingdale State managed to find the back of the net twice via the feet of Anthony Bileddo and Michael Lanouette.

How it Happened

Farmingdale State quickly made an impact, with Michael Lanouette scoring a goal just 42 seconds into the match. The first half was marked by fouls, offside calls, and few substitutions from either team. While Sarah Lawrence had their moments on the attack, they couldn't break through Farmingdale State's defense, and the half concluded with the Rams leading 1-0.

The second half began with a renewed effort from both teams. Despite their best efforts, Sarah Lawrence College couldn't find an equalizer. Instead, Anthony Bileddo extended Farmingdale State's lead with a goal in the 87th minute. As the final minutes progressed, both teams continued to pressure offensively, but solid goalkeeping and impressive defensive play on both sides prevented any more goals. The game ended with Farmingdale State clinching a 2-0 Skyline conference victory.
