Burman Leads Gryphons as they Take on WIT in Boston

BOSTON, MASS. - The Sarah Lawrence men's basketball team fell to the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday by a score of 61-47.

Top Performers
  • Braden Burman led the Gryphons in scoring once again, this time with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting
  • First Year Noah Elovitz-Fields scored nine points for SLC while pulling down nine rebounds


How it Happened

The Gryphons were unable to get anything moving in the first half, with six players scoring but none able to make multiple shots from the field. The team ended the period shooting 20.8% from the field. The Panthers also struggled, shooting 24% as a team but getting seven points from Jack Connell on 25% shooting.

Burman helped get the Gryphons back on track in the second half, scoring 10 points on 60% shooting from the field. The Panthers also got back on track as a team, shooting 45.5% from the deep and over 47% from the field overall. Elovitz-Fields also helped the Gryphons, scoring six of his nine points and grabbing seven of his nine rebounds in the second half.

The Gryphons (0-4) will return to action on Tuesday as they host the Whittier College Poets for a 3:30 p.m. contest at the Campbell Sports Center before the school's Thanksgiving break.
