BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - After a hard fought home-opening match, the Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team fell to 0-2 after an 8-1 defeat at the hands of Pratt Institute.
The Gryphons were able to earn a win as
Clayton Miller won from the first singles spot, defeated Pratt's Mehul Bhargava 6-2 in straight sets.
Nikita Knecht fell behind in the fourth singles flight, losing the first set by a score of 6-1 but would battle back before losing 7-6 in the second set and falling two sets to none.
The pair of Miller and
Simon Kopecky played well in the first doubles flight, falling to Pratt's pairing of Bhargava and Ryan Nelson by a score of 8-4 but not without scoring their fair share of points.
