Kopecky and Miller earn Doubles Victory against St. Joseph's Long Island

Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's team played their best match of the season, falling to the Golden Eagles of St. Joseph's College of Long Island by a final tally of 7-2. Despite the score, many Gryphons played close sets in their respective flights.

Clayton Miller and Simon Kopecky started off the match with an impressive 8-5 victory. Felix Massey and Nikita Knecht would narrowly fall in the second flight by the same score.

In singles, Miller would fall for just the second time this season, this time in three games to St. Joseph's Ryan Freeley by scores of 6-3, 4-6 and 4-6. Kopecky would also go three games, but would pull out the win, taking the deciding game by a score of 6-3 after falling behind on a 4-6 loss in game one. Massey fell in the fourth singles flight in straight games, by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
