Despite a strong start, the Gryphons ultimately couldn't hold off the Rams, with set scores of 21-25, 18-25, 25-22, and 22-25.

Sarah Lawrence opened the match strong, challenging Farmingdale State in the first set. The Gryphons fought to keep the score close, with standout plays from Nikolet Vataj and Georgi Massey, but a late surge allowed the Rams to pull ahead and take the set 25-21. The second set saw the Gryphons struggle with consistency, as Farmingdale capitalized on a handful of Sarah Lawrence's errors to claim a 25-18 win. Strong offensive efforts from Athena Kazos kept the Gryphons in contention, but the Rams held firm to secure a 2-0 lead. Sarah Lawrence rallied in the third set, fueled by Vataj's offense and Carolyn Kelly's defensive plays. The Gryphons took a narrow 25-22 victory, keeping their hopes alive as they moved into the fourth set.
