Gryphons Complete Pair of Conference Matchups on Tuesday

PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team fell to the Purchase Panthers by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The team also completed its previously suspended match against Yeshiva University, falling 9-0 to the Maccabees.

In the match against Purchase, the Gryphons nearly took the third doubles flight with Peter Fathi and Noah Morley falling 8-5 after a hard-fought match. Leon Bronshvag had the closest match of the day, falling behind 6-3 before a 6-4 victory to force a super tiebreaker. Purchase's Steve Mains prevailed 12-10 to secure the 9-0 victory.

Against the Maccabees, the Gryphons completed doubles play on Sunday before a postponement for weather, with the closest of the three flights being Samu Gabor and Bronshvag's second doubles matchup where the pair from SLC fell 8-5. In singles play, it was once again Bronshvag to play the closest matchup, falling 6-3, 6-4 in the third flight.
