YONKERS, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team opened their 2024 Skyline schedule with a dominant 12-0 victory over Yeshiva on Thursday night. Six different Gryphons found the back of the net with
Katey Beaver leading the way by netting five scores.

Beaver started early, scoring her first goal in the first minute of play and doing so five more times, with Chaffin and Colvin finding the sophomore for the third and fourth scores of the game respectively. The sixth goal of the game would come as
Bella Vaca crossed a ball in the box and junior midfielder
Grace Carter got the ball past the YU keeper for her second score of the season. Barker would then score her first goal of the night on a breakaway, finding a hole and getting the ball past the keeper for her third score of the season. The final 22 minutes of the half would be quiet as SLC controlled the ball in the midfield but did not put another shot in the net. The second half started with Cortina Fernandez earning her first goal of the season in the 50th minute as first year
Stella Sturgill got the assist. Floyd would then score her first of the game and the season to give SLC a 9-0 lead. The senior would then take her turn in finding a teammate, assisting
Emma Mangan as the Emma-to-Emma connection gave Mangan her first goal of the season in the 65th minute. Floyd would then get her second goal of the game, with Sturgill earning another assist and notching the penultimate goal of the day for SLC. Barker would round out the winning effort with her second score of the day, once again breaking away and scoring unassisted, bringing her season goal total to four.
