How it Happened
The match began with a steady pace, but it was Sarah Lawrence's sharp offensive play that took center stage, starting in the 27th minute when
Chloe Barker, assisted by
Katey Beaver, found the back of the net. Just six minutes later, Beaver capitalized on a defensive error, scoring a goal of her own and doubling the Gryphons' lead in the 33rd minute. Balbin struck for her first score of the night with under two minutes remaining in the half, then added another score in the 54th minute to extened the SLC lead to 4-0 and provide extra insurance for the Gryphons. The floodgates remained open in the second half as Warren netted a goal in the 73rd minute with an assist from Floyd, who followed up with a strike of her own just three minutes later, assisted by
Madeline Moor. SLC's final goal came in the 84th minute, courtesy of
Hannah Chaffin, who capped off the dominant offensive performance and a standout week of her own. With a solid defensive effort from the midfield, backline and keepers, Sarah Lawrence managed to keep Bard scoreless throughout the contest for their third shutout victory of the season
