Gryphons Open Skyline Play with Home Matchup against Maccabees

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's tennis team fell to Yeshiva University at home on Tuesday by a final score of 7-0. The Maccabees swept all three doubles matches in addition to the six flights of singles play.

In doubles play, Yeshiva's pairs were impressive: Shira Adler and Gabrielle Resnick defeated Josephine Jackson and Kyra Johnsen 6-3, while Sarah Leiderman and Anna Laufer overpowered Caroline He and Rebecca Stearns 6-0. In the third flight, Sarah Grunseid and Eliana Tilem wrapped up the doubles matches with a 6-1 win over Melody Diaz and Zinnia Hull.

In singles action, Yeshiva continued their strong performance with straight-set victories across all six matches. Adler bested Jackson 6-2, 6-1; YU's Micka Mimoun outplayed Johnsen 6-2, 6-0; Sarah Leiderman and Laufer each secured flawless 6-0, 6-0 wins against He and Stearns, respectively. Grunseid overcame Diaz with a 6-0, 6-1 scoreline, and Resnick concluded the sweep by defeating Hull 6-0, 6-3.
