YONKERS, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team defeated Saint Joseph's University Brooklyn by a score of 8-0 on Wednesday night, with six different Gryphons finding the back of the net before the game's end. The Gryphons now move to 3-0-1 in conference play this season and will look to keep their undefeated streak alive this Saturday at Farmingdale State.

The Gryphons dominated from the start, with the first half providing a showcase of their offensive prowess. Hannah Chaffin opened the scoring early in the 6th minute, assisted by Viktoria Balbin. Just eight minutes later, Chaffin found the net again, this time off a pass from Katey Beaver, doubling the Gryphons' lead. Sarah Lawrence continued to press, and in the 23rd minute, Beaver added a goal of her own, assisted by Emma Floyd, making it 3-0. Chloe Barker extended the lead in the 34th minute, with Ava Warren providing the assist. As the first half drew to a close, Sarah Lawrence piled on two more quick goals. In the 44th minute, Grace Carter scored, once again assisted by Warren, followed by Warren herself scoring just moments later with an unassisted strike. The Gryphons went into halftime with a 6-0 lead, having completely overwhelmed their opponents with 34 shots to none from SJBK.
The second half saw the Gryphons continue their dominance, though the scoring slowed somewhat. Carter notched her second goal of the game in the 53rd minute, assisted by Hailee Duckrey, pushing the lead to 7-0. Finally, in the 72nd minute, all-conference defender Daniela Perez found the back of the net for the second time in her collegiate career. The score sealed the victory with the team's eighth and final goal, once again assisted by Warren, who completed the match with three assists.

The Gryphons (6-4-1, Skyline 3-0-1) will return to action on Saturday, September 28th as they travel to Farmingdale, New York for a matchup with the Rams of Farmingdale State at noon. The Gryphons will look to add a win to their currently unblemished Skyline record against the Rams, who are 0-1-2 against the Gryphons over their past three meetings.
