BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team totaled 10 scores in Saturday's win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn, including scores by four of the team's five seniors. The Gryphons earned their first conference victory of the season against the Bears and will look to keep the momentum up as they head to Manhattanville on Tuesday.

Chloe Barker started the scoring in the second minute with an unassisted goal, her first of the season after leading the team in 2024. Erickson would find fellow first year Colvin for the team's next score in the 13th minute, giving the latter her first collegiate score. The game would go almost thirty minutes with no scores before three goals in the final four minutes of the half gave the visitors a 5-0 lead at the intermission. Duckrey started the blitz with a goal off an assist by Perez in the 42nd minute before the Medford, N.J. product found Chaffin for a score under two minutes later. Duckrey would register her second assist of the half a minute later, finding teammate
Emma Mangan for a score to send the team into the half with a five-goal advantage.
The second half would see five more goals, with none other than Duckrey starting off the scoring with an assist to Balbin, whose third goal of the season moved her into a tie for the second-most career goals in program history. The game would go quiet for the next ten minutes before Erickson got a goal of her own to add some insurance for the Gryphons. Just a couple minutes later,
Nicaia Sharp would find
Phoebe Workman for the team's eighth score of the day, giving Workman the second score of her first season with the Gryphons and Sharp's second assist of the campaign. After finding Duckrey for her first-half score,
Daniela Perez would get her own shot at the net, converting off a pass from
Katey Beaver for her first score of the season. Chaffin would then cap the scoring blitz with an 89th-minute score, placing her one goal behind Balbin on the career goals leaderboard with 22.

The Gryphons (2-8-1, Skyline 1-3) will return to action on Tuesday afternoon with a 4:00 p.m. matchup against Manhattanville in Purchase, N.Y. The team will then return home on Saturday for senior day, honoring six Gryphons for their contributions to the women's soccer program. The team will host Maritime for a 3:00 p.m. matchup which will also kick of a Sarah Lawrence soccer doubleheader.
