Women's Tennis Blanks Dolphins in Shutout Skyline Victory

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's tennis team defeated the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent by a score of 7-0 on Tuesday night. The Gryphons swept doubles play to earn the doubles point before taking all six singles matchups in straight sets. The team has now won two consecutive matches and has won three of their last four, sitting at 5-3 overall on the season.

The Gryphons dominated doubles play to set the tone early, with Josephine Jackson and Viha Shah earning a 6–2 victory at the top flight, while the pairings of Zoe Kovac/Margaret Moon and Colleen Coughlin/Serafina Panuccio followed with 6–2 and 6–1 wins, respectively, to secure the opening point.

In singles, SLC continued its strong performance across the lineup. Jackson controlled play from start to finish at No. 1 singles, winning 6-4, 6-1, while Shah cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 2 spot. Kovac and Moon each recorded straight-set sweeps, 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-2, at Nos. 3 and 4, and Panuccio added another convincing result at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Hayley Needelman closed out the day with a steady 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles to complete the team sweep.
