BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - After welcoming a trio of competitors to Bronxville on both Friday and Sunday, the Sarah Lawrence Women's Swimming team swept the Gryphons Fall 2025 Quad Meet. The women's team bested visitors from Baruch College, Lehman College and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) while the men's team got impressive individual performances from upperclassmen

How it Happened
The women opened with a runner-up finish in the 400 medley relay at 4:29.50 before Ava Greengrass set the tone in distance events, winning the 500 freestyle in 6:15.34 and later adding a 1000 freestyle victory in 12:58.75. Olivia Huie (14:12.58) and Jocelyn Engel (14:57.26) rounded out a clean sweep of the top three in the 1000. Breaststroke produced another run of podium finishes with Julia Maecker placing second in the 100 breast in 1:23.98 and Cordelia Bay following in 1:25.60 before Bay continued a strong day with a 200 breast win in 3:05.59 and Aubrey Rosser took second in 3:08.94. Backstroke remained a reliable scoring event as Ella Hernan (2:23.21) and Kirsten Eads (2:24.14) took second and third in the 200, and the pair exchanged places in the 100 with Eads at 1:04.13 and Hernan at 1:04.37.
The middle-distance group continued the momentum with Eads winning the 200 IM in 2:28.09 and Bay placing third in 2:37.41. Keilani Talma delivered three of the team's most decisive swims, finishing second in the 100 freestyle at 57.81 and later winning the 100 butterfly in 1:02.23, before adding another victory in the 200 freestyle at 2:08.29, followed closely by Hernan in second at 2:09.42. The relay squads contributed major points as well, with the 200 freestyle relay taking the win in 1:48.12 and the 400 freestyle relay closing the meet with a first-place finish in 3:54.84. In sprint events, Amelie Burg (26.94) and Hannah Drum (27.03) secured second and third in the 50 free.
On the men's side, Rau put together one of the strongest individual showings of the meet with a pair of runner-up finishes, touching the wall with times of 5:34.18 in the 500 freestyle and 2:18.05 in the 200 butterfly. Kim added another impressive sprint result by taking second in the 50 freestyle at 22.22, rounding out a productive weekend overall for the men's squad.

The Gryphons will return to action as they wrap up the fall semester with a dual meet against the York College Cardinals on Saturday, December 6th. The teams will face off at the Campbell Sports Center at 1:00 p.m. as the women's program looks to keep its unblemished record against the Cardinals and the men's team looks to continue a strong season.
