2.15.25

HACKETTSTOWN, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence equestrian team kicked off their spring 2025 schedule with a nine-ribbon effort at the Centenary University Equestrian Center. The team totaled six top-three finishes, including a blue ribbon by Layne Barr and a trio of red ribbons for three different riders.

As mentioned above, Layne Barr paced all SLC riders, earning a blue ribbon in the introductory flat for the second time this year. Maeve Lamson, Talia Rosenthal and Mia Chamorro all earned red ribbons for SLC, with Lamson doing so in the intermediate flat, Rosenthal in the pre novice flat and Chamorro in the introductory flat. This marked Lamson's second red ribbon of the year and career bests for both Rosenthal and Chamorro. Summer Stammley and Nyah Raposo rounded out the squads top-three finishers, Stammley's fourth top-five finish in the novice and Raposo's second-best finish after a blue ribbon on November 16th. Leena Mangaldas, James Chipperfield and Sophie Gaynes all earned top-five results for the Gryphons, with Mangaldas doing so with a fourth-place performance in the pre-novice flat while Chipperfield and Gaynes both posted fifth-place rides in the limit flat.
