BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team took down the visiting Bloodhounds of John Jay on Thursday evening, earning their second straight victory and their fourth overall win of the season. The team now sits at .500 overall as they head into the final stretch of the season.
The Gryphons took both doubles matchups to start off the match, with an Aiden Roney and
Max Gleason pairing combining for a 6-3 win in the first flight before
Noah Morley and
Peter Fathi did the same in the second flight by a 6-1 scoreline. The Gryphons also dominated singles play, with five victories to complete the shutout.
Simon Kopecky continued a strong campaign at first singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win while doubles teammate
Jules Voorhoeve's impressive first season continued with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Avery Romano continued the success with a win at third singles, as a pair of 6-1 victories gave the first-year another win on the season.
Dylan Bernard and
Gavin Wright both took down their opponents by scores of 8-0, helping to secure the match victory for the Gryphons

The Gryphons (4-4, Skyline 1-3) will return to action on Saturday, April 19th as they host the Panthers of Purchase College for a noon matchup on the campus of Sarah Lawrence College. The Gryphons will then travel to York College on Tuesday, April 22nd.
