How it Happened
The Golden Eagles carried much of the first-half momentum, forcing multiple saves from goalkeeper Joseph Vaca before breaking through in the 38th minute on a goal by Sean Gordon to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. After the break, the Gryphons pushed forward in search of the equalizer, with Ryan Gunderson firing wide early in the half and Vaca coming up with more key stops to keep the deficit at one. St. Joseph's doubled its advantage in the 60th minute when Gordon struck again off a pass from Nick Pensavalle, but Sarah Lawrence responded with resilience. In the 76th minute, Aidan Roney slipped a pass through to Kairos Diaz, who buried his first career goal to level the score at 1-1. From there, both sides traded chances as Diaz forced another save in the 86th minute and the Golden Eagles tested Vaca late, but neither team could find a winner.
