BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball team delivered a championship-caliber performance on Saturday afternoon, rallying from two sets down to defeat Farmingdale State, 3-2 (19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-10, 16-14), at Campbell Sports Center. With the victory, the Gryphons secured their 13th consecutive win and clinched the Skyline Conference regular-season title with a perfect 10-0 conference record.

Sarah Lawrence (24-2, 10-0 Skyline) faced an early challenge as Farmingdale State took the opening two sets, putting the Gryphons' impressive winning streak in jeopardy. However, the home team found its rhythm in the third set and refusing to let the match slip away.

The Gryphons turned the momentum in the third, earning a 25-20 victory behind improved offensive execution. They carried that energy into the fourth set, dominating from start to finish with a convincing 25-10 win to force a decisive fifth set.

In the deciding frame, Sarah Lawrence battled through a back-and-forth finish, ultimately outlasting the Rams, 16-14, to complete the reverse sweep and celebrate their first regular season title on their home court.

Leading the offensive charge was Caroline Combs, who delivered a match-high 27 kills while adding 13 digs and two service aces. Nikolet Vataj contributed 15 kills and 21 digs for a double-double, while Charlotte Siemsen added seven kills and hit an impressive .417.

Sophia Costa orchestrated the offense with 53 assists, three service aces and 14 digs. Kai Perkins anchored the defensive effort with a team-high 22 digs, while Olivia Richard paced the Gryphons at the net with three total blocks.

As a team, Sarah Lawrence finished with a commanding 62-50 advantage in kills and outdug Farmingdale State, 85-67. The Gryphons also hit .239 as a team, highlighted by a dominant .393 hitting percentage in the fourth set.

The victory marks another milestone in a remarkable season for Sarah Lawrence, which has now won 13 straight matches to earn the Skyline Conference regular season title.

The Gryphons return to action on Wednesday, November 4 as they head to Mount Saint Mary for their final regular-season matchup at 6:00 p.m.
