Men's Tennis Wraps up 2026 Season against Top-Seeded Rams

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team wrapped up a second-consecutive seven-win season against the postseason-bound Farmingdale State Rams on Friday afternoon as the visitors took a spotless victory back to Long Island.

In doubles, Kwaku Agyeman and Zakaria Ahmed opened with a commanding 6–1 win over Clayton Miller and Jules Voorhoeve at No. 1. Emil Sabovic and Luke Plana followed with a 6–0 victory against Jozef Kandrac and Avery Romano-Villani at No. 2, while Myles Freelin and Broc Brown completed the sweep with another 6–0 win over Benjamin Berkson and Gavin Wright at No. 3.

Farmingdale State carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets or via retirement. At No. 1, Ahmed defeated Miller 6–4, 6–2, and Agyeman dominated Voorhoeve 6–0, 6–0 at No. 2. Michael Lerman earned a three-set victory at No. 3, defeating Leon Bronshvag 6–3, 5–7, 6–0. At No. 4, Danial Zindani won by retirement after taking the first set 6–0 against Romano-Villani. Jordan Gonzales added a 6–1, 6–1 win over Wright at No. 5, and Plana closed out the match with a 6–0, 6–0 victory against Aidan Roney at No. 6, as Farmingdale State completed the 7–0 shutout.

The Gryphons have now posted back-to-back seven win seasons, tying for the most wins in program history. The team will miss key senior contributors in Clayton Miller, Leon Bronshvag and Aidan Roney while returning strong singles and doubles players such as Jules Voorhoeve and Avery Romano-Villani. The team will return to action in 2027 and look to improve on the momentum built up over the past two seasons.
