OVERVIEW

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that all adults strive for at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity per week. To encourage Sarah Lawrence College community members to reach this goal, Campbell Sports Center is promoting its inaugural 30 a Day Summer Fitness Program.

Participants are challenged to perform 30 minutes of physical activity every day throughout the summer. Points are earned for each day of activity and bonuses reward consistency.

Workouts can be done anywhere! Campbell Sports Center continues to be open throughout the summer, but you can participate in the 30 a Day Program from wherever you are and even take it on vacation.

The 30 a Day Summer Program is intended to be fun and cooperative. Set your own fitness goals and encourage your friends to make exercise a part of your daily life. A 30-minute workout every day of the summer amounts to 45 cumulative hours of activity (nearly two full days).

All members of the Sarah Lawrence College community are invited to participate, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and their respective families.

The 30 a Day Fitness Program begins Monday, June 3 and ends on Saturday, August 31.
